The 15th edition of the Grand Prix du Design Awards took place on October 12. The high-end condominium project Le Mansfield won Award of the Year in the category Construction & Real Estate – Real Estate Development. Congratulations to all the project team!

September 2022 marked the official opening of the new Maison de Radio-Canada. The inauguration ceremony took place on September 7. The new Maison then officially opened its doors to the public on September 24 with guided tours of the new building. BLTA takes great pride in the achievement of this unique building!

The Dorchester Appartements’ project has seen a work by Canadian artist of international stature Drew Young flourish on its north facade. This superb mural, named Chariot, was created as part of the MURALE 2022 festival.

Last Friday, September 17 marked the top off ceremony for Les Appartements Dorchester. Did you know that this ceremony takes its origins in a cult of trees over 1,000 years old? An old Scandinavian religious rite consisting in placing a tree or a branch on top of a new building to soothe the spirits of trees cut down during its construction. This ritual then migrated to England and Northern Europe before coming to the Americas. In North America, we generally lay a pine tree during a ceremony with the project team.

The 980 Saint-Antoine Ouest began its construction site a few weeks ago. During the building’s demolition phase, the facade is conserved in order to be enhanced in a future residential project.
